      Ways to Hear God’s Voice
      1. God’s audible voice (rarely) – Acts 9:1-9, 26:14. John 12:27-30.
      2. Hear Him through Jesus’ life – Heb. 1:1-2, John 1:1, 14, 18.
      3. Through the Scriptures – 2 Tim. 2:15. The Word is alive and powerful, Heb. 4:12. Get the spirit of the Word!
      4. Dreams and visions – Ananias in Damascus by a vision, Acts 9:10-16. “The Lord spoke to Paul in the night by a vision,” Acts 18:9-10.
      As Joel prophesied, Acts 2:17.
It’s OK to ask God for dreams and visions.
      5. God thinks thoughts to us – good ones! Jer. 29:11. Listen for God’s thoughts coming to you, to give you a future and hope, so you can walk out your destiny (your future) in power. Still small voice of 1 Kings 19. Quiet yourself so you can hear Him speak.
      6. Through the inner witness of Holy Spirit – Rom. 8:14, 16, an inner knowing, a surety, confirms to us that we’re saved. Holy Spirit is our personal Teacher and Guide, John 16:13-15. Listen a lot in prayer for Him speaking to you.
      7. Through other people – Okay for a while, but be careful. They help us get started, so learn from them, but it can be imperfect because its only what they know, we live in distortion field (demonic influence in this world). You must learn to hear Him for yourself. Deut. 5:27, Israel didn’t want to hear Him. Don’t do that!
